Elementary French I & II Online were originally developed as part of the Open Learning Initiative (OLI) at Carnegie Mellon. Collaboration with PSLC has augmented the courses capabilities and supports research-related activities. Funding from the PSLC has allowed faster implementation, extension of instrumentation, incorporation of multimedia, and deployment at the University of Pittsburgh as well as the establishment of a French course committee which oversees and guides studies within the French LearnLab. French Online / French LearnLab is currently seeking schools interested in using this course for instruction at secondary or university levels. Free public access to review the course is available through the Open Learning Initiative: www.cmu.edu/oli . To review course content, see the Scope and Sequence documents linked below or consult the Jai appris (What Ive learned) sections of the on-line course.

The web-based version of French course is available courtesy of the Open Learning Initiative.
